Everyone knows you never leave your seat when the credits roll at the end of a Marvel movie. As expected, Disney is expanding that practice to the Star Wars franchise. Rumors of a post credit scene at the end of Episode VII have now been confirmed. However, the subject of that scene has sparked a new rumor.
According to CinemaBlend, the post credit scene is rumored to introduce Rogue One. While it would be interesting to see some more footage outside the teaser we've already seen, post credit scenes are normally used to tease future installments that are linked to the one you just watched. Teasing Rogue One would be a bit odd because the events of that movie take place over 3 decades before Episode VII. It would make more sense if the post credit scenes were to tease Episode VIII instead....but like we said earlier, the content of the post credits scene is a rumor for now.

We all know Darth Vader has to appear in Rogue One simply because A New Hopes begins with him boarding the Tantive IV after it's capture.
However it appears he will not be the main villain in this film. While the identification of the main antagonist still remains a mystery, it has been said that Darth Vader will make a small number of appearances throughout the film. Much like the Emperor did in Empire Strikes Back & the beginning and middle of Return of the Jedi, Darth Vader is going to appear as a puppet master of sorts.....at least he will according to BirthMoviesDeath.com.
What does this mean for our heroes? Will they come face to face with Darth Vader at any point, or will they just have to deal with their main adversary while Lord Vader watches from the shadows? More importantly, who is the main villain? I'm afraid we'll all have to wait for the answer to that last question.....and what of the "puppet master" reference? Does this mean Darth Vader allowed the Rebels to steal the plans in the hopes of following them back to the Rebel HQ?
That would make sense, although it would be a bit redundant since he later tries that same tactic on the Falcon but with better success.
One thing is for sure. The ending of Rogue One will definitely be a climactic one since the opening scene of A New Hope shows Vader's Star Destroyer in hot pursuit of the Rebel Blockade Runner holding those plans.
This first part isn't really much of a spoiler as it is a confirmation of sorts.
Daisy Ridley was in Japan last month along with Kathleen Kennedy to talk about Star Wars on a Japanese TV network when Ridley dropped a not so subtle hint about Rey after the host asked her about the family history of the character.
She answered with "I'm not sure how much I can say. I guess because I've said that I'm solitary, and that's how I begin, that is probably a big clue as to what it is". That seemed like a harmless answer at face value, except for a couple of small details.
1. Before answering, she looked over at Kathleen and immediately got nervous.
2. She pronounced the word "Solitary" as "Solotary".

ROUND 2: SPECULATION
Ever since the images of Andy Serkis wearing MOCAP gear surfaced, the web has been abuzz with questions about who Supreme Leader Snoke may be.
The Supreme Leader is confirmed as the narrator in the first teaser, speaking the lines "There has been an awakening. Have you felt it? The dark side, and the light"
If that's any indication, it is that the Supreme Leader is attuned to the Force. Furthermore, the fact that he leads the 1st Order, and has Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and "The General" (Domhnall Gleeson) reporting directly to him means he is definitely not a nice person.
While no images have surfaced as of yet, Snoke has been described as "Zombie-Like" (I'm guessing they don't mean gory un-dead looking, but more pale & dead looking) it could mean that he is an ancient being that has existed in the shadows for a long time, waiting to make his move.
There was an interview back in 1983 with ROTJ director Richard Marquand about the final trilogy (7-9) in which he stated:
Why is this relevant? It talks about a supreme intellect that created a man who was able to shape the destiny of an entire galaxy. Snoke may be that supreme intellect!
You must remember that George Lucas originally planned for a 9 episode saga. Although Disney has stated that they do not plan on using Lucas' original ideas, that doesn't mean they wont pick and choose certain plot points or characters from those ideas and mold them to their version of how the saga will continue.
There is some speculation that Snoke is a pseudonym and that the Supreme Leader may be Darth Plagueis returned or resurrected. Could this trilogy reveal that Darth Plagueis has been watching from the shadows the whole time, even unbeknownst to Palpatine, only to mark his return after the death of his traitorous former pupil?
He looks pretty pale and zombie-like to me...
Imagine the implications. One being, so powerful with the dark side that he was able to fool his pupil into thinking the plotted murder worked, then managed to stay shrouded from everyone. The Republic, the Senate, the Jedi Order, Darth Sidious and all his apprentices leading up to Darth Vader. Whatever he had foreseen was important enough for him to remain patient for over 50 years before marking his return.
In this storyboard image for the new trilogy, the character does look a bit like he could be Plagueis. It's not Kylo since he's not wielding the cross-guard saber.

Let's face it. Star Wars is the biggest event of 2015. New trilogy, new books, new comics, new games, new stand-alone films, new toys, new new new! You get the idea...
Let's add some more to the list. According to Schmoesknow.com, They have a source claiming as-of-yet unofficial but possibly true information about what else Disney has in store for us. Until the news becomes official, chalk the following up as very tasty and highly probable rumors for now.
ROUND 1:
The 2nd stand-alone movie following "Rogue One" will not only be about Boba Fett. It will also feature Han Solo. Just let that sink in for a moment.
It seems that our favorite bounty hunter will be crossing paths with our favorite scruffy looking Nerf herder. Up until now, all we've known of their relationship (according to the new canon thus far) was that Han Solo knew who Boba Fett was, and Boba Fett was after him for Jabba's bounty.
However for a bounty hunter to make a deal with the Empire, you know there had to be more than just a simple gangster's bounty at the root of the issue. The question is, what happened between them?
This film is said to focus on the conflict between both men that made Solo the elusive high value target and Fett the unrelenting bounty hunter.
ROUND 2:
Obi-Wan Kenobi might be making a comeback.
Sources claim that Disney is in talks with Ewan McGregor about a yet un-named project. The 2 obvious choices for these talks are (a) They want him to star in a Disney movie, or (b) They want him to reprise his role as Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi.
My money is on option B.
If they are indeed in talks for a Kenobi film, Schmoes notes that it would open the doors for expanded roles for Owen & Beru Lars, an infant/young Luke and how he came to know "Ben" Kenobi, and of course the possibility of Darth Maul and Obi-Wan coming face to face a third time!
I don't know about you, but I would love to see this battle. Ray Parks has amazing abilities that would be showcased again, as well as giving him the chance at an extended dialogue. It could possibly be the final fate of Darth Maul, or perhaps a new beginning for him in the form of spin-offs and sequels!

Despite the revelation last week of Andy Serkis' character in "The Force Awakens", much of Supreme Leader Snoke as well as Captain Phasma, may remain a mystery even after the movie hits theaters.
According to a March article on the fan site Making Star Wars, it is rumored that Snoke (referred to as "Uber" in the article) will only have about 3 short scenes in Episode VII. While Captain Phasma will likely have more screen time than Snoke, she's being compared to Boba Fett in that she doesn't really do much in the first installment..
If this turns out to be true, then we can use the original trilogy as an example of how it may be done. In Episode IV, the main antagonist was Darth Vader. The Emperor was only mentioned by name. In Episode V, we only saw a glimpse of his face during a holo-transmission for less than a minute.
Supreme Leader Snoke is being introduced in a similar fashion. The focus will be on Kylo Ren as the antagonist in Ep. VII, while the Supreme Leader's screen time will amount to nothing more than a few minutes. The focus will shift onto him through the next 2 installments of the trilogy.
Captain Phasma will have more screen time than Snoke in Ep. VII, but just like the first look at Boba Fett in Ep.V, we won't really know who she is. More will be revealed about her in the Episodes VIII and IX.

While walking the red carpet in London for his new movie Man Up, Simon Pegg was asked by a reporter about his rumored cameo in The Force Awakens, to which he blurted out " I wasn't a Stormtrooper, Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper". He then quickly followed that up with "I shouldn't have said that".
Was he kidding, or serious? I guess we'll find out in December. Don't expect to see 007's face in the feature though, as it was originally rumored that he was simply lending his voice to a Stormtrooper (possibly holding the rank of Commander) in the film.
Could he be Finn's commanding officer? Or perhaps one of the elite soldiers serving Captain Phasma? Again, we'll have to wait until December to see for ourselves.
Do you think Simon was just pulling our chain or did he let a truth slip?
The rumor mills over at Cinelinx have been working overtime. The word going around (and has been for some time) is that Disney is in the early planning stages of a Star Wars live action TV series.
However, this time around there are a few more details that give us a glimmer of hope that this might actually be happening. IF this is really happening, it seems the show runners are holding off on starting until the movie releases have been worked out. The most reasonable explanation for this is that since the series will film at Pinewood Studios, they want to do this in between movie shoots to utilize sets, props and costumes that already exist, thereby saving them some serious budget expenses. That in and of itself, is no small feat. It involves scheduling the show shoots within limited timetables between each feature film, as well as making sure to keep the show linear to the continuity of the films, books, animated shows and comics. Like I said, this is no small feat.
Also, from the sound of things it appears that the show won't feature many of the prominent movie characters as regulars, instead using some lesser known ones, or possibly characters from the new EU.

30 years have gone by since the destruction of the 2nd Death Star and the deaths of the Emperor and Darth Vader....This is where Episode 7 begins.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far awa-Hey! W......Wait a minute! Hold on a second! What the hell has been going on between all that time? You don't expect us to just dive right in.....Do you?
Okay, we all know that the opening crawl always serves as a narrative to events leading up to the beginning of the movie, which is fine for the majority of Star Wars fans...but what about the other fans that are into more than just the movies? Fear not my friends! For those of us who seek further enlightenment about what has transpired in the 30 years between movie timelines, there is hope.
According to Cinemablend.com, Disney, Lucasfilm, and Worldwide Publishing have teamed up and are working on releasing AT LEAST 20 books on the market by this fall that will do just that! What's that you say? 20 books within a year is insane? You'll never be able to read them all before December?
Well, if you're like me. You can polish off a typical 300 or so page Star Wars book in a matter of days. Besides, you don't have to finish them all by December. You can always read at your own pace and have plenty of "Oh so THAT'S what happened" moments.
As a matter of fact, the new books have already begun to bridge the gap between episodes. If you're currently reading "Star Wars: Heir to the Jedi" and have not reached a certain chapter, you might consider skipping the next section and just head to the end.
In "Heir to the Jedi", there is a small excerpt where Luke finds an old lightsaber and upon practicing his skill to disassemble and reassemble a saber by using the force, discovers that it is unique in that it has 3 crystals within, and finding out that even slight misalignment or damage to the crystals would cause unstable streams to emerge. Reminiscent of a certain sputtering saber we see in the Ep. 7 teaser, hmmmm?
With that tiny revelation, it's safe to say the rest of the books will further explain and expand upon events, technology, and characters we will meet in The Force Awakens.
Fans of the Sith, and evil forces in general now have a little something extra to look forward to at Celebration 2015. Ian McDiarmid is the latest addition to the all-star line up of celebrities set to appear at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim.
Although it's obvious Sidious will not be a factor of the new trilogy, you can bet your moisture farm that tons of fans will re-hash the old rumors about the Emperor's survival of the DS2's destruction and his return in the new movies.
I'm just glad we get to see some bad guys other than the 501st (Okay...so they're technically an awesome bunch who do great things for their communities while in costume as bad guys, but still)make an appearance.
According to Star Wars Celebrations 2015, Revenge of the Sith will premiere in 3D as will season 2 of Star Wars Rebels!
As if that's not enough to make you giddy, according to iDigitalTimes there is a rumor that a new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer or teaser is expected on "A Day Long Remembered" at Celebration 2015 as well.
As of now it's just a rumor (albeit a highly likely one), but I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this one just in case.
