For those who haven't already heard, Starwars.com has announced that Del Rey Books will have an upcoming bind-up release called Star Wars: The Rise of the Empire.
This bind up will combine James Luceno's Star Wars: Tarkin, and John Jackson Miller's Star Wars: A New Dawn, along with 3 short stories. The short stories will connect the two novels and also provide additional information about the power of the Galactic Empire.
The short stories will be written by 2 Star Wars veterans as well as a newcomer to Star Wars who's got 30 novels under their belt.

This bind-up is the perfect opportunity for those who haven't read either book, and is set to release on October 6th, 2015.

I'm really liking the detailed & grainy look given to Kanan, Hera & Darth Vader, as well as the sharp contrast of black and white to black and red. Check out Kanan's expression. His eyes are a tell tale sign of a young man who's witnessed some horrors, but must do what he can to protect his crew.
