Star Wars has, is, and always will be a global phenomenon. Fans from all walks of life have either seen or own copies of the movies, whether it be the original trilogy or the prequel trilogy. 2015 is a huge year for the franchise as it marks it's return to the big screen, and to the forefront of entertainment. However it has earned another milestone of which many of us are unaware....
For the first time in the history of the franchise, Star Wars Episodes IV through VI will be shown on the big screen in China. This is a huge deal as even though Episodes I though III had premiers in China, the original trilogy never got that chance.....until now.
According to Entertainment Weekly, all 6 episodes will be screened at the 18th Shanghai International Film Festival which will take place between June 13th and the 21st.
I'm actually a bit envious, as I never got to experience the original trilogy on the big screen. Attendees of the Shanghai International Film Festival are surely in for a wonderful treat.
